Privacy policy
Your privacy matters. Here's exactly what Statura does and doesn't collect.
Last updated: August 2, 2026. This policy explains what information Statura collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to the website at https://mystatura.com.
Calculator inputs stay on your device
Every calculator on Statura runs entirely in your browser. The values you enter — height, weight, dates, and so on — are processed locally by JavaScript and are never transmitted to our servers or stored by us. There is no database and no backend that receives your inputs. We cannot see what you calculate.
Shareable result links
So that a result can be sent to someone else, the values you enter are written into the page address itself — for example /calculators/due-date/?lmp=2026-03-01&u=metric. Anyone who opens that link sees the same result. This still involves no server: the link carries the values, and the recipient's own browser does the calculating.
Two things follow from that, and we would rather state them plainly. Because the values are part of the address, they are saved in your browser's own history, and they form part of the page URL that the advertising and analytics providers named below receive when a shared link is opened. And a link, once sent, can be forwarded by whoever receives it. Only share a result with people you trust with the information in it, and use the “Start fresh” button on a shared result, or your browser's private browsing mode, when you would rather the values were not kept in your history. The links contain only the numbers and dates you entered — never a name, email address, or anything that identifies you.
Information we collect directly
Statura does not require an account and collects no personal information directly from you. If you email us, we receive the email address and content you choose to send, used only to respond to you.
Local storage preferences
We store a few small preferences in your browser's local storage: your unit-system choice (metric/US), and your appearance settings — light/dark theme, text size, contrast and motion. These stay on your device, are not cookies, and are not sent anywhere. You can clear them at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Measurements the calculators remember
So that you do not have to retype the same details on every calculator, your browser saves the measurements that do not change from one calculation to the next: sex, age, height, weight, body fat percentage and activity level. When a calculator fills these in for you, it says so above the form.
This is stored in your browser's local storage under the key statura:profile. As with everything else on this site, there is no server to send it to: it is written by your browser, read back by your browser, and never transmitted to us or to anyone else. It is not a cookie, it is not included in shareable result links, and it is not readable by the advertising or analytics providers named below.
Nothing that varies per calculation is saved — no dates, no last menstrual period, no pregnancy weights, no goals. To erase what has been saved, use “Forget them” on any calculator that has filled a field in for you, or “Forget my measurements” under Saved details in the appearance menu (the gear icon in the header). Clearing your browser's site data removes it too.
Advertising — Google AdSense
Statura displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its third-party vendors use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
When ads are active, the following may apply:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.
- Cookie categories used by Google AdSense may include: ad personalization cookies (e.g.
__gads,__gpi), ad measurement cookies, and local storage entries set by DoubleClick and the Google Advertising Products. - Purpose: to measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and (where you have consented) show you ads that are more relevant to your interests.
Your advertising choices and opt-out
You can control how Google uses your data for advertising:
- Google Ads Settings: adssettings.google.com — manage ad personalization across Google services.
- Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out: aboutads.info/choices — opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies.
- Web Choices (NAI): optout.networkadvertising.org — opt out of behavioral advertising from NAI members.
- Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete third-party cookies. See your browser's help pages.
Note that opting out does not remove ads — it makes them less personalized. You may still see generic, non-personalized ads.
Consent Mode and personalized ads
Statura implements Google Consent Mode v2. By default, ad personalization and analytics storage are set to "denied" until you grant consent through a consent banner (shown to visitors in regions where required, such as the EEA, UK, and Switzerland). If you do not grant consent, you will still see non-personalized ads or no ads, depending on your region.
Your privacy rights — GDPR (EEA, UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Object / restrict — object to or restrict certain processing.
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured format.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, for consent-based processing.
Because Statura does not operate an account system or collect personal data directly, most of these rights apply to data collected by our advertising and analytics partners. To exercise rights over Google-processed data, use the Google Ads Settings or contact Google directly. For any request about data we hold (e.g., your email if you contacted us), email hello@mystatura.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Your privacy rights — CCPA / CPRA (California)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) give you rights regarding your personal information:
- Know — the categories of personal information we collect.
- Delete — request deletion of your personal information.
- Opt-out — of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Use the DAA opt-out link above or the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link where shown.
- Non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
Statura does not sell personal information. The "sharing" that occurs for advertising is governed by the opt-out choices above.
Cookies
The site uses a small number of cookies and local storage entries for its own operation (appearance settings, unit preference, and the measurements described above) and for advertising (Google AdSense). Advertising cookies are only set when you consent (where required) or in jurisdictions where non-personalized ads are permitted without consent.
Analytics
Statura uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages people visit and how quickly those pages load. It is cookieless: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not use fingerprinting or any identifier to track you across sites or between visits.
The measurement is aggregate only — page URL, referrer, and coarse browser, device and country information, together with anonymous page-performance timings. Because nothing is stored on your device and no visitor profile is built, this measurement is not covered by the consent banner, which governs advertising cookies.
We never send your inputs anywhere as data in their own right, and nothing analyzes or reports on what you calculate. The one exception worth naming is the page URL described under Shareable result links above: where that address contains the values you entered, those values are part of the URL recorded with the page view.
Children's privacy
Statura is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. BMI and related calculators are built for adults aged 20 and over. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party links
Our site may link to external websites (e.g., cited sources). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Their privacy policies apply once you leave Statura.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acknowledgment of the updated policy.
